Hip-hop heads, did you know that Eminem has won a total of five Best Rap Album Grammy Awards throughout his career?

Ever since breaking into the mainstream with The Slim Shady LP in 2000, Eminem has been nominated for a whopping 39 Grammy and has won 13 of those.

Eminem won the Best Rap Album for The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Relapse and Recovery. He was nominated in 2006 for Encore but lost to Kanye West who took the award for Late Registration as well as beating out Eminem for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Rap Solo Performance.

Currently Eminem holds the record for most wins in the category with five, followed by Kanye who has won Best Rap Album a total of four times for: The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Despite only winning one Best Rap Album Award in his career for Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life, Jay-Z has been nominated for a record nine times for: Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter, The Blueprint, The Blueprint²: The Gift & The Curse, The Black Album, Kingdom Come, American Gangster, The Blueprint 3, Watch The Throne (with Kanye West) and Magna Carta Holy Grail.
