drake-best-i-ever-had-highest-charting-single

Hip-hop heads, did you know that “Best I Ever Had” is Drake’s highest charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 to date?

As much success as Drake has had in the past five years on the charts and radio, he’s yet to capture that that alluring number one hit. He shares one with Rihanna when the singer’s 2010 single “What’s My Name?” topped the charts, but Drake’s still looking for his own.

Lil Wayne snagged one when his 2008 hit “Lollipop” exploded, Jay-Z also has one with “Empire State of Mind” and Kanye has been fortunate enough to have three – “Slow Jamz,” “Gold Digger” and “Stronger.”

Released on February 13 2009 as the lead single off So Far Gone, “Best I Ever Had” still remains Drake’s highest charting single to date. The song debuted at 92 on the Billboard Hot 100 and managed to climb all the way up to number two.

Maybe with the release of the upcoming Views From the 6 Drake will finally get that number one hit he’s been so close to getting these past five years.
