desiigner rapper performing panda

Desiigner’s recent courtroom drama has finally reached its conclusion. On September 14th, the “Panda” hitmaker faced the music for an incident that happened onboard a flight earlier this year. According to TMZ Hip Hop, the court ruled that Desiigner is to register as a sex offender for life and will serve a two-year probation.

The saga doesn’t end there for the rapper. The judge has also imposed additional conditions. Desiigner won’t be seeing any firearms in his future, as he’s been banned from possessing one. Additionally, he’s got a 120-hour community service stint to fulfill, random drug testing to undergo, and a psychiatric evaluation that could determine further treatments. If the Brooklyn artist fails to comply, especially if extended treatment is advised, he risks breaching his probation.

Flashback to April, the origins of this case: Desiigner reportedly couldn’t keep it in his pants while in the Delta One cabin, leading to allegations of him exposing himself multiple times and engaging in indecent acts mid-flight to Japan. This audacious act earned him an FAA violation card, which subsequently led to him being shifted to the plane’s back and monitored till landing. His welcoming committee? The FBI, ready for a debrief.

Despite the flight taking off from Minnesota en route to Japan, it was Minnesota that pressed charges against the rapper.

In an intriguing side note, following Desiigner’s incident, rapper Boosie Badazz candidly admitted to a similar indiscretion mid-air.

Desiigner later broke his silence through a heartfelt statement to TMZ. He attributed the in-flight actions to a cocktail of prescription meds and mental health challenges, a battle he’s silently waged for a while. His realization? It’s time to seek help.

Recounting his overseas gig and subsequent hospitalization, Desiigner expressed deep regret for his actions and shared plans to take time off for mental health treatment. His final appeal was poignant, urging anyone facing mental health struggles to reach out for assistance.
