Artist Background: Born and raised in the GTA in Canada, Ruff Gewel has been hooked into rap music since the first time she heard it. It has had such an impact on her life. Music has helped her through many times.
When she was in high school, she became very depressed and music was like therapy for her. She began writing rhymes to get her feelings out. She didn’t know she could rap at the time. She eventually began rapping her rhymes out loud to instrumentals just for the fun of it and fell in love with it.
From that moment on, she knew music was what she wanted to do with her life. She dedicated her time to it and progressed as an artist; developing her own sound and style. She knew she had a special gift, a voice and a reason to be doing this. She knew she was going to touch lives.
She knew she wanted to make a difference in the lives of others through her music the same way music has done for her. She is a very determined individual, who will stop at nothing to achieve her dreams. Don’t sleep on this artist.
