My Great Escape is a story about coming up in New Jersey and moving away after 24 years. It begins with an ode to home, reminiscing on past tales and how they will be missed.
It then proceeds to take you on a ride through NJ, painting pictures of past memories and even some current situations. It describes the process of change and the effects of moving on. Some might be somewhere they don’t want to leave. Some might feel trapped.
The hood is a beautiful place. It’s also a dangerous place to be sometimes. Mostly everyone in the hood is looking for their own escape route. This was just mine.
