Over the weekend, Playboi Carti stirred excitement among fans by hinting that a new track sampling a JAY-Z classic is in the works. However, the highly anticipated song won’t be featured on his soon-to-drop album, ‘I Am Music,’ which he recently confirmed is completely finished.

Carti set social media abuzz when he posted an image on his Instagram Story, playing JAY-Z’s 2001 hit ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ in the background. Following this, a text from his producer, Wheezy, promised a sample of the song for Carti’s album. Fans, understandably, thought this indicated a possible delay for ‘I Am Music.’

Addressing the commotion, Carti took to social media to clarify that the album is indeed complete. ‘MY ALBUM DONE ME N WHEEZY TALKING ABOUT SOME OL OTHER SH*TTT,’ he assured. This should relieve fans eagerly awaiting its release by March 2025.

Carti’s promotional antics didn’t stop there. He tagged Spotify in a post from his record label’s account, urging them to act on his album’s release. Spotify’s playful reply with hourglass emojis further amplified anticipation.

The rapper also engaged with a fan who demanded he drop the album already, responding confidently with ‘FASHO’ and a 100 emoji. Moreover, in a separate post, Carti teased that the album’s replay value would be a solid ’10.’

Hints of an imminent release are everywhere. Since September 2024, fans have been able to pre-save the album, with a promise of it being available ‘NO LATER THAN SIX MONTHS FROM SEPTEMBER 12, 2024.’ With the deadline looming, the album could drop any day now.

In addition, Carti’s marketing team has plastered billboards in Los Angeles and Miami hinting ‘Music Is Coming,’ featuring the Spotify logo but no other details. This has added to the buzz, building up excitement for what’s to come.

As the countdown continues, fans remain on edge for the official release of ‘I Am Music.’ With Playboi Carti’s word that it’s worth the wait, anticipation is at an all-time high. The silence before the storm is always the most thrilling.
