DJ Khaled stirred quite the pot with his latest album announcement, claiming Drake featured not once but twice, only for Drake to shut it down.

In a now-deleted post, DJ Khaled shared an intriguing album trailer for his upcoming project. Mark Wahlberg had a part in the clip where he mentioned collaborations with Drake, as well as potential appearances by Jay-Z and Rihanna. This exciting news was quickly retracted when Drake humorously denied the claims, suggesting, “Must be @drakebell.”

Khaled’s deleted post was boldin its assertions. It stated, “This not my last album this my black album JAY VOICE […] DRAKES BACK TO WORK… SO AM I! THIS THE ONE WITH DRAKE’s,” suggesting a strong partnership with Drake. However, the reality of the situation seems different.

The confusion arises amid a history of collaborations between Khaled and Drake. They have delivered hits together since 2011, starting with “I’m On One” featuring Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Their partnership seemed strong, most recently marked by hits like “For Free” and “POPSTAR.”

Despite the recent fumble, Khaled affectionately spoke about Drake in past conversations. In an interview with PEOPLE, he reflected on their bond, saying, “Our friendship is true brotherhood. We relate to each other in so many ways. We inspire each other…we brothers.” Yet, this incident leaves fans questioning whether the two remain on friendly terms.

While fans are eager to see more collaborations between these two music giants, the current miscommunication adds an air of mystery to their relationship. With Drake’s speedy denial and the swift post deletion, fans are left wondering if this is all part of a larger publicity tactic or an honest misstep.

Whether this was a publicity stunt or a genuine misunderstanding, one thing is certain: the music world is eagerly watching to see what happens next.
