Yella Beezy, speaking through his attorney, has expressed bewilderment over his inclusion in a $50 million lawsuit following a chaotic incident at a Chris Brown concert.
Yella Beezy’s lawyer, Daryl K. Washington, released a statement calling the lawsuit “frivolous and without merit.” According to Washington, Beezy had no involvement in any incident and was surprised to find himself named in the lawsuit.
Washington emphasized that Beezy had no contact with the plaintiffs and believes that a thorough investigation would reveal his innocence. “It is simply impossible to falsely accuse him, or any other party, for being involved in an incident when there is no evidence to support the accusations,” Washington stated.
This lawsuit also names Chris Brown, his entourage member Sinko Ceej, and concert promoter Live Nation. The plaintiffs, Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell, claim they were attacked backstage during Chris Brown’s 11:11 Tour in Fort Worth, TX on July 20.
Bush alleges that after a friendly interaction with Brown, tensions rose when a member of Brown’s team reminded the singer of a past conflict. Brown allegedly responded aggressively and ordered his crew to assault Bush. Parker claims he was similarly attacked.
The plaintiffs report severe injuries requiring medical treatment, with one plaintiff still hospitalized. The lawyer representing them, Tony Buzbee, seeks compensation for the damages incurred.
There’s more to the chaos. Frederick Overpeck, head of backhouse security at the venue, filed a separate $15 million lawsuit. Overpeck claims he was injured while trying to protect the plaintiffs from Brown and his entourage.
Meanwhile, Beezy remains puzzled by his entanglement in the lawsuits, maintaining he played no part in the incident.
Yella Beezy stands firm in his innocence, perplexed by the accusations amidst the turmoil surrounding the Chris Brown concert incident. Only time and a thorough investigation will reveal the truth.
