In a surprising legal maneuver, Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers have been given the green light to question Tory Lanez from prison.
This new development is part of Megan’s defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz. On February 24, the rapper’s legal team successfully filed a motion to depose Tory, as his involvement is deemed crucial to the case.
Back in October, Megan initiated a lawsuit against Gramz for cyberstalking and emotional distress, accusing her of spreading deepfake pornographic content about Megan. The Houston rapper claims that Tory was behind these actions, allegedly hiring bloggers to tarnish her reputation and cast doubt on her credibility in the shooting incident.
Additionally, Megan provided evidence of payments totaling $3,000 from Tory’s father to Gramz, which she presented when seeking a restraining order against Lanez last month.
The legal team argues that interrogating Tory is essential for Megan, known as Ms. Pete in her legal filings, to fully investigate the scope and reasons behind the defendant’s actions and his connections with Mr. Peterson (Tory Lanez). The presiding judge, Altonaga, quickly approved this request, allowing the deposition to proceed via video conference or in-person at the correctional facility.
Megan’s lawsuit highlights the alleged conspiracy between Gramz and Tory, pointing to Gramz’s role as a “paid surrogate” for spreading Tory’s false narratives. These narratives focus on the controversial shooting incident from July 2020, for which Tory is currently serving a 10-year sentence.
Although Gramz responded to the accusations on her social media account, known as X, her dismissive remarks only fueled the fire. “Countersuit gone go crazy,” she posted, along with another message mocking the allegations that she works for Tory. The legal proceedings are set to intensify, with a trial date slated for July 21, 2025.
This latest legal strategy adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing saga between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez. As both camps prepare for the upcoming courtroom battle, the spotlight once again shines on the underlying issues at stake.
