Soulja Boy recently claimed to be the first rapper to fly an airplane, sparking reactions online.

  • In an Instagram video, Soulja Boy excitedly broadcasted his supposed groundbreaking flight experience.
  • Ludacris, who notably had a similar experience, responded with a raised eyebrow emoji, questioning the claim.
  • Fans jumped in to support Ludacris, pointing out his prior cockpit video from 2021.
  • Ludacris shared on Ellen that he is pursuing a pilot’s license but hasn’t received it yet.

Soulja Boy recently declared on Instagram, from the cockpit of a jet, that he was the first rapper to fly an airplane. His claim was filled with enthusiasm, stating boldly, “I was the first rapper to fly an airplane. Let’s go!”

Ludacris, never one to shy away, subtly responded to Soulja’s claim with a single raised eyebrow emoji, sparking curiosity and comments from fans. Many were quick to remind Soulja that Luda had already ventured into this territory.

Back in 2021, Ludacris shared footage of himself at the controls of a plane, leading fans to surmise he was a licensed pilot. However, Luda later clarified on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that while the internet ran with the story, he was still working towards his pilot’s license.

Ludacris humorously remarked that the video led to internet assumptions. He explained the term ‘nickel ride’ as his inaugural flying experience, further adding that becoming a pilot is a goal for him, albeit one that requires abstaining from pre-flight drinks.

While the first-to-fly debate stirred up the rap community, owning a jet is common among hip-hop stars. Rick Ross flaunts a custom plane with luxurious interiors, and Drake’s jet, which reportedly cost $185 million, is another testament to the rapper lifestyle.

Ludacris’s eyebrow raise implies the sky’s clearly big enough for more than one rapper’s aviation dreams.
