In a typical move, 50 Cent took to Instagram on February 4th, posting a screenshot of a headline about Gotti’s stroke. “Damn I wanted him to see my new shows yo!” he captioned, continuing his trend of trolling Gotti.
Rumors swirled as the Instagram post suggested Gotti was on life support, with loved ones preparing for the worst. However, Gotti and his team have remained tight-lipped about these claims.
The rivalry between the two dates back years to when 50 Cent’s hit “Wanksta” was thought to target Gotti’s friend Ja Rule. Even then, 50 showed no remorse, sharing another photo last year of Gotti using a cane, accompanied with the caption, “Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?”
Despite the relentless trolling, a representative for Gotti clarified that his health issues were largely due to diabetes, which led to his stroke over six months ago. Gotti has reportedly been focusing on improving his diet, leading to a successful recovery.
During a 2023 Drink Champs interview, Gotti opened up about his battle with diabetes, explaining the challenge of managing his condition and the dietary changes he had to implement.
The feud isn’t just limited to health issues. 50 Cent also found an opportunity to tease Gotti over his former relationship with Ashanti, now linked to Nelly. When Ashanti and Nelly announced their marriage and upcoming addition to their family, 50 didn’t hesitate to mock Gotti.
Despite the harsh jabs, Gotti appears to be recovering well, with representatives noting he’s at home, enjoying time with family. This seems to counter the severe health scare rumors that circulated earlier.
