Reports have emerged that Trey Songz displayed a lack of restraint, allegedly assaulting an already-injured photographer outside a club in Huntington, NY, causing a stir within the industry.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 14, following a performance by Trey at The Ivy. Eyewitnesses and law enforcement state that Trey reportedly lost control with a photographer named Isaa Mansoor, who was in the process of recovering from a prior injury.

The authorities allege that Trey struck Mansoor on the head, forced him into a wall, and damaged two cameras before leaving the scene. As a result of the encounter, Mansoor was hospitalized with a concussion and other injuries. Despite the efforts of The Ivy’s owner to calm the situation, it’s reported that Trey was unresponsive.

While there has been no public comment from Trey, his legal representative, Ted Anastasiou, has blamed the media for escalating the situation. “The media is unfairly turning an unfinished story into clickbait to sell a shocking headline. That’s lazy and unfair,” Anastasiou stated in a conversation with TMZ.

Anastasiou contends that the incident at The Ivy was provoked by “increasingly aggressive paparazzi invading an artist’s personal space,” terming it a pervasive problem that endangers “everyone at risk.”

“Trey disputes the characterization of events, is cooperating fully with authorities, and looks forward to the facts, not speculation, speaking for themselves,” Anastasiou clarified further.

Anastasiou emphasized that Trey is cooperating with the police and hopes that the facts of the case will stand by themselves.

Prior to this, Trey was reportedly involved in a near altercation with an individual at an event last month, where he threatened violence. Fortunately, the situation was diffused and no physical confrontation occurred.
