In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Texas rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his five-year-old daughter were tragically shot and killed at a car wash near Dallas. On the morning of March 3rd, gunfire erupted, leaving the community in shock.

Witnesses reported hearing between 20 and 30 gunshots as the suspects approached the rapper’s stationary vehicle and opened fire. Both Ronnie and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the suspects’ getaway car as a white Kia and have issued a warrant for their arrest. However, the identities of the suspects have not been made public yet.

While the motive remains unclear, authorities believe that Ronnie, whose real name was Ronnie Smith, was the intended target. His aunt, Stella Houston, told FOX 4 that he was a family man who ‘didn’t target nobody.’

‘Cleaning the car out, and somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby. A baby! His baby,’ Stella Houston lamented, emphasizing the senselessness of the act.

Another witness recounted the chilling sequence of shots: ‘Six [shots] the first time, and then it was half a second, and I heard six more. Then a second later, I heard three.’

The Forest Hill Police Department is appealing to the public for any information about the suspects, hoping to swiftly bring them to justice.

On social media, fans reflected on Lil Ronnie’s last Instagram post, where he shared a heartfelt moment from a Valentine’s Day celebration with his daughter. The emotional post further underscores the deep loss felt by family, friends, and fans.

Ronnie’s musical legacy includes around 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and his notable track ‘Hoodtime Killuminati,’ featuring Go Yayo. He had even toured with Soulja Boy and released an album titled ‘Literally’ in 2023.
