In a heated exchange, Suge Knight has publicly rebuked Ray J over claims regarding the infamous Death Row Records, sparking controversy and fiery exchanges.
Suge Knight, currently serving time for manslaughter, dismissed Ray J’s assertion that he held the rights to Knight’s life story. Speaking in a recent interview, Knight warned Ray J, “Now you playing with my kids and my family, so we gonna play with yours,” signaling his intent to take legal action if needed.
Knight went further by accusing Ray J of spreading false stories about Danny Boy, a former Death Row singer. He challenged the claims, pointing out, “Danny Boy is not my son but I always loved him like a son. Ray J, you knew Danny Boy was gay when Danny Boy was slipping and sliding.”
The tension escalated as Knight criticized Ray J for speaking about Death Row’s golden era, asserting that Ray J wasn’t present back then. Knight’s frustration was apparent as he stated, “Everybody throwing gossip, playing these games.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Suge Knight Jr. took to Instagram to call out Ray J in a video. “Aye Ray J, real quick bro, how about we set up this fade?” he proposed, challenging Ray J to a fight over the perceived lies about his family.
Ray J, known for his connections to the music industry in the early ’90s, claimed ignorance regarding Danny Boy’s sexuality and his activities during Death Row’s heyday. This isn’t the first time the topic of life rights came up, as Suge previously denied Ray J’s claims in 2019, stating Ray J was a valued part of his life and business dealings.
The ongoing feud between Suge Knight and Ray J brings to light tensions rooted in the turbulent history of Death Row Records. It seems the past refuses to stay buried, as new allegations stir up old rivalries and the urge to set the record straight intensifies.
