Kendrick Lamar, on tour with SZA, was spotted slipping into a New York studio, igniting curiosity amid fans and music circles alike.

Lamar, well-known for his stealthy studio sessions, was captured by paparazzi entering a recording studio in West Village. What he’s cooking in there remains a mystery, but whispers about a deluxe edition of “GNX” have been circulating in the industry. “I know he’s got a deluxe version coming out. He’s very secretive,” revealed “TV Off” collaborator Lefty Gunplay during a chat with Bootleg Kev.

The timing couldn’t be more interesting. While “GNX” continues its stronghold on the charts since its release last November, Kendrick’s highly talked-about track “Luther” with SZA has been dominating the Billboard Hot 100. It’s equaled a record for the longest time at number one, sharing the spotlight with Diddy and Faith Evans for the most weeks spent at No. 1 among duos.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Kendrick is making waves in the fashion world. He’s set to be the face of Chanel’s eyewear division, after successful stints with brands like Louis Vuitton and Nike. He praised Chanel’s timeless appeal stating, “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind.”

The alliance with Chanel isn’t new for Lamar. Since attending the 2023 Met Gala donning a custom Chanel jacket, his association with the brand has grown, leading to a short film collaboration for their 2024 spring/summer show. Moreover, he’s extending his creative reach into movies alongside South Park creators Trey Stone and Matt Parker.

Kendrick Lamar’s surprise New York studio visit and ventures into fashion and film leave fans eagerly awaiting his next move. With milestones in music and collaborations in fashion, Lamar’s influence continues to expand.
