Future has yet again stirred excitement among his fans with a recent Instagram post suggesting that a new mixtape is on the horizon. Despite having released three full-length projects in 2024, the rapper is far from taking a break.
In his Instagram post, Future shared a video capturing moments from his time at Louis Vuitton’s menswear fashion show in Paris. He added a straightforward caption: ‘New tape OTW.’ This brief message was enough to send fans into a frenzy, with comments pouring in to praise his relentless creativity.
Fans quickly shared their enthusiasm, with one admirer expressing, “Bro’s on generational run.” Another fan compared Future to a renowned sports star, declaring, “Future = Lebron. Both 40 acting 25yrs old when it’s come to they profession.” Meanwhile, one fan succinctly dubbed him “the goat.”
In addition to his solo work, Future might also have something brewing with other big names in the industry. Atlanta rapper Lil Baby revealed on Spotify’s ‘A Day in the Life’ series that a collaborative project with Future and Young Thug is in development, initiated by Thug himself. ‘Me and Future were working on a joint tape. We damn near got the joint tape done,’ Lil Baby confirmed.
Lil Baby shared how Young Thug, even while incarcerated, was keen to see them collaborate. He recounted Thug’s instructions: ‘Aye, call Pluto. I want y’all to do a tape together.’ Now that Thug is back, he’s eager to join the project, having already contributed to ten new tracks.
Adding another layer to the anticipation, producer Wheezy hinted at an upcoming sequel to ‘Super Slimey’ featuring Future and Young Thug. He posted a photo from the studio showing a neon sign that boldly read ‘Super Slimey 2.’ However, there’s no official confirmation about the project just yet.
While Future keeps his fans on their toes with teasers and hints, it’s clear that he has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Be it solo ventures or collaborative projects, the future seems promising for fans awaiting new music.
