Famed DJ Funk Flex has stirred the pot by voicing his belief in Tory Lanez’s innocence in the high-profile case involving Megan Thee Stallion. During an Instagram Live session, Flex revealed his controversial stance, diverging from mainstream opinion.

During an Instagram Live chat, Funk Flex shared his thoughts on the legal battle between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, which concluded with Lanez receiving a 10-year prison sentence. Flex addressed comments from viewers suggesting a possible release for Lanez. Most of the time, Flex argued, there’s a reason for imprisonment, but he believes Tory’s case defies this logic.

Flex was straightforward in his opinion, stating, “Tory Lanez, I do believe he’s innocent. Yes, I do. It’s not what they’re saying it is.” This doubt over the official narrative adds another layer of controversy to an already complex case.

Meanwhile, Tory Lanez continues to maintain his innocence, despite his conviction. He recently featured in a song with the artist DDG titled “Handling Business,” where he openly speaks on the incident. His lyrics express just one regret from the night of the shooting, wishing he hadn’t left the party with Kylie Jenner.

The altercation between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez happened after a party at Jenner’s Hollywood Hills mansion in July 2020. Lanez’s legal defense suggested the dispute began due to jealousy over his interactions with Jenner.

Megan Thee Stallion, however, testified differently during the trial, claiming a sexual relationship with Lanez at the time of the incident. This contradicted earlier statements she made to the media, complicating the case further.

Prosecutors offered yet another version, suggesting the argument arose from Megan insulting Lanez’s musical abilities. Despite the differing stories, Lanez was found guilty on all counts and given a decade-long sentence.

Tory Lanez has been vocal against his sentencing and continues to file appeals, while also disputing some of the key evidence presented during his trial.

Despite the legal troubles, Megan Thee Stallion has moved forward in her career, releasing two albums. Yet, the case remains in public discourse, fueled by Lanez’s ongoing appeals and claims.

As Tory Lanez persists with his legal appeals, Funk Flex’s assertion of his innocence injects new life into a case fraught with differing accounts and high-profile figures. It remains to be seen how Lanez’s efforts and public opinion might sway the legal outcome.
