Freddie Gibbs stirred up social media by calling out Drake and PartyNextDoor for allegedly copying his album artwork.

It all unfolded on Thursday morning when Freddie Gibbs took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice his concerns. The rapper claimed that Drake and PartyNextDoor’s upcoming album, ‘Some Sexy Songs 4 U,’ borrows heavily from his own 2022 album, ‘Soul Sold Separately.’

Gibbs pointed out that the new album’s stylized title, ‘$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,’ bears a striking resemblance to his use of dollar signs in ‘Soul Sold Separately.’

On top of that, the cover art features rabbits, a motif Gibbs is known for using in his work. ‘Damn they even stole the rabbits too. I’m flattered,’ Gibbs commented, highlighting the similarities. Adding fuel to the fire, a fan remarked, ‘I forgot Freddie Gibbs be using the bunny with dollar signs a lot for his stuff. Yeah, Drake and PND just straight up copied that lmfao.’

Surprisingly, despite the accusations, neither Drake nor PartyNextDoor has offered a response to Gibbs’ claims. Instead, they have remained silent on the matter.

Meanwhile, fans are buzzing with excitement for the release of ‘Some Sexy Songs 4 U,’ which is set to drop in honor of Valentine’s Day. The tracklist, released on Thursday, has sparked speculation about possible guest appearances, with some wondering if Young Thug might make an appearance due to a song titled after his lawyer, Brian Steele.

Drake, during a recent performance in Melbourne, Australia, hinted at what fans can expect from the project. ‘It got an album coming out on February 14th with my brother PARTYNEXTDOOR. It’s called Some Sexy Songs 4 U, but it’s some turned up songs for you on there, too,’ he shared. ‘And there’s some personal feelings on there for you. So hopefully, whoever you’re with on Valentine’s Day, hopefully y’all can share that experience together.’

As the drama unfolds, all eyes are on Drake and PartyNextDoor’s next move regarding Freddie Gibbs’ allegations. Whether or not they address the issue, the anticipation for their album continues to build as Valentine’s Day approaches.
