The hip-hop community is in a state of shock as Curtis Jackson, famously known as 50 Cent, engages in a public conflict with his son, Marquise Jackson, and Daphne Joy, the mother of his second son, Sire, instead of celebrating Father’s Day on June 15.
50 Cent and Marquise have maintained a complex relationship over the years, which is now being publicly aired on Instagram. Marquise posted a message saying, “Happy Father’s Day to all the real ones,” alongside a meme that insinuated he was betting on 50 Cent to favor Sire over him in his Father’s Day post.
In his post, Marquise further commented, “I’m watching my bet and it ain’t looking too good,” he added, “I got the over… We all know this the day for photo ops. The Day ain’t over yet FINISH STRONG… GET ON YOUR JOB.”
This post from Marquise was in response to 50 Cent’s post targeting Joy early on Sunday, June 15. Along with a computer-generated image of himself holding a drill, 50 Cent wrote, “Happy Fathers Day Little B####. I’ll have full Custody soon little b####. You’ll be back on only fans in no time Little B####. but how is your day going Little B####?”
Daphne Joy is believed to be “Jane Doe,” who recently testified in Sean Combs’ ongoing federal trial, further adding to the controversy as she allegedly discussed her frequent presence at Combs’ parties.
50 Cent, clearly agitated, returned to Instagram with two more provocative posts aimed at Marquise and his mother, Shaniqua Tompkins. He accused them of defrauding the government by falsely claiming they needed PPP loans.
“Bet they are gonna blame me when they get picked up for scamming PPP loans,” he stated. “They gonna say it was my fault they were broke.” He added, “You little punk your momma got you and your sister scamming. Them people came to ask me some questions about it. I declared I don’t f### wit them, I’m a law abiding citizen.”
It is also worth mentioning that he later updated his original caption to, “Happy Fathers Day guys, what did you get?” However, as it is often said, screenshots are forever.
