In a surprising turn of events, 6ix9ine’s Platinum and Gold plaques fetched impressive amounts at auction, following an IRS raid.

Rapper 6ix9ine, known for his once chart-topping hits, made headlines not for music, but for an auction that exceeded expectations. His plaques, seized by the IRS due to tax issues, were sold off for much more than anticipated.

Reports indicate that his ‘GOOBA’ Platinum plaque alone went for $10,250, significantly surpassing the $4-6K estimate. This set the tone for other memorabilia items, which also fetched hefty sums.

The plaque for ‘BEBE’ sold for a stunning $19,000, a figure more than triple its original estimate. Similarly, the ‘STOOPID’ plaque was auctioned off at $12,000, double of what was expected.

Even the plaques awarded for 6ix9ine’s breakout hit ‘GUMMO’ performed well, with two different pieces selling at $14,250 and $13,500, far above their projected ranges.

While his jewelry saw mixed results, certain pieces disappointed by selling at or below expectations. Yet, some watches and less costly necklaces outperformed their valuations.

A total of 63 items were auctioned by Market Auctions on behalf of the IRS, who seized these items last year citing the rapper’s unpaid taxes.

The rapper himself, on social media, seemed to acknowledge the IRS’s actions. He shared how a video showing his cash stash reportedly led to the raid. ‘This was the reason the Feds did the raid,’ he explained, referring to jewelry found in a safe.

These auction results highlight a unique chapter in 6ix9ine’s controversial journey, blending music success with financial troubles.
