50 Cent doesn’t seem too eager to be pals with Diddy, despite the mogul’s public plea for friendship.

  • 50 Cent shared an old video where Diddy expressed his desire to be friends.
  • Diddy, in the video, offered to teach 50 Cent how to make more money.
  • 50 Cent was visibly unmoved in his response to Diddy’s appeal.
  • The rapper also recalled awkward past interactions with Diddy.

50 Cent couldn’t resist having a little fun at Diddy’s expense. He posted a video from yesteryears showing Diddy calling out for friendship on a radio show. In the clip, Diddy can be heard saying, “Me and him could be friends but he doesn’t want to be my friend. I wanna be his friend so I can teach him everything I know so he can become a better money-getter, since I’m the number one money-getter in the world.”

Diddy’s appeal continued with a somewhat humorous plea: “Yo 50, please be my friend,” followed by “You’re breaking my heart, Curtis, please be my friend. Please.” But 50 Cent’s response, captured in a follow-up video, was less than enthused. Looking straight into the camera, he questioned, “What kind of messed up situation is this?” Clearly, he found it all very amusing.

Further adding to the fun, 50 Cent’s Instagram caption read: “Nah something ain’t right, stay over there play boy. LOL.” He seems to enjoy poking fun at Diddy, keeping the mood lighthearted yet slightly cutting.

This isn’t their first public awkward moment. 50 recounted to The Hollywood Reporter how he once felt uneasy when Diddy offered to take him shopping, a gesture he found strange. He reflected, “That might be something that a man says to a woman. And I’m just like, ‘Naw, I’m not dealing with this weird vibe.’”

50 Cent clarified his professional history with Diddy, mentioning past collaborations on songs like “Victory 2004” and the “I Get Money” remix. However, he emphasized these interactions were purely business, explaining: “It was mostly work. I wouldn’t call it a friendship because there wouldn’t be disappointment between us if we didn’t speak to each other.” He added that he never socialized with Diddy outside of work events.

Diddy’s past attempts to collaborate even reached 50’s family. Jennifer Lopez, Diddy’s ex, once advised him to work with 50, prompting calls that were sometimes answered by 50’s son’s mother. She often expressed frustration, questioning why he was reluctant to speak to Diddy, especially since they needed the money.

Rumor has it that Diddy’s authority in the music industry isn’t all it seems. 50 noted, “Puff is a businessman; when [people call him] a producer, I see people that were taken advantage of, who produced things that he took from them. He got the credit. He’s not a producer.” This suggests a complicated layer to their dynamic.

50 Cent and Diddy’s relationship remains rocky and rife with humorous exchanges.
