Xzibit is making waves in the hip hop world once again with the unveiling of his highly anticipated tracklist for ‘Kingmaker’, marking his return after a decade-long break.

The iconic rapper, best known for hosting MTV’s ‘Pimp My Ride’, is back with his first album since 2012’s ‘Napalm’. This new project, titled ‘Kingmaker’, is set to release on May 16 and promises to be a memorable comeback with a star-studded lineup.

Xzibit has enlisted some of the biggest names in the hip hop industry for the album, including legendary figures like Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Redman. The 20-track album also features artists such as Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill’s B-Real, and Royce Da 5’9″, ensuring a diverse blend of styles and voices.

In addition to these veterans, ‘Kingmaker’ introduces fresh talent to the mix, with contributions from Ty Dolla $ign, Symba, JasonMartin, Domo Genesis, and Guapdad 4000, among others. This combination of established icons and new artists promises to deliver a dynamic listening experience.

In a social media post, Xzibit explained that the album’s release faced multiple delays as he wanted to ensure it met his high standards, even making ‘last minute additions’. He shared his excitement about the project, saying, “Music is what I do best. I’ve been working on it off-and-on for the last 10 to 12 years but finally felt it was different enough to share.”

The tracklist includes intriguing titles such as ‘Play This At My Funeral’, ‘Leave Me Alone’, featuring Dr. Dre and Ty Dolla $ign, and ‘For The Love’, featuring Ice Cube and Lorine Chia. Xzibit describes ‘Play This At My Funeral’ as a snapshot of his current state of mind, rather than a morbid statement.

Fans are eagerly awaiting this release, not just for the music but also for the storytelling and personal insights Xzibit promises to bring. ‘Kingmaker’ will be released through Greenback Records, a label recently launched by Conor McGregor, which has also signed Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

As anticipation builds, Xzibit’s return to music with ‘Kingmaker’ signifies not just a revival of his own career but also a celebration of hip hop’s enduring legacy, bringing together the best of both old-school and new-school sounds.

Xzibit’s ‘Kingmaker’ is set to shake up the hip hop scene with its legendary collaborations and fresh voices. As fans mark the release date on their calendars, the excitement builds for an album that promises to make a lasting impact on the genre.
