Playboi Carti had fans eagerly waiting for his new album ‘I Am Music’, which was supposed to release at midnight. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen sample and clearance issues, the drop was delayed. “If it wasn’t for the samples and clearances it would have been out at 12 east but we good everything cleared, it should be out in any sec,” Carti explained through a message on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream.

Despite the setback, excitement remained high as Carti shared the album’s official tracklist on his label Opium’s Instagram. The album features a whopping 30 tracks with collaborations from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Kendrick Lamar, Future, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and more.

The tracklist gave fans plenty to look forward to, from tracks like ‘Crush’ and ‘Philly’ featuring Travis Scott to ‘Charge Dem Hoes a Fee’ with Future. Notably, the album marks the end of a long-standing feud between Carti and Lil Uzi Vert, as the two reconnect on ‘Jumpin’ and ‘Twin Trim’.

One track that’s grabbing attention is ‘Good Credit’, sparking speculation about a possible diss toward Drake. Kendrick Lamar reportedly drops a verse that might be a dig at his rival. “Buck up, y’all. That n-gga talking shit again,” shouted Akademiks, further fanning the flames of fan anticipation.

The buzz around ‘I Am Music’ has been building for a while. Playboi Carti has been teasing fans with snippets of new music since his Rolling Loud Miami performance. In an earlier interview, producer Cardo hinted at the album introducing a new subgenre termed ‘burnt music’, blending eclectic influences from artists like DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia and even film composer John Carpenter.

As fans await Playboi Carti’s new album, the anticipation is higher than ever with a tracklist promising epic collaborations.
