Iggy Azalea is not holding back in her explosive claims against Universal Music Group, accusing them of withholding millions in international royalties.

The Australian rapper took to social media, specifically X, to voice her frustrations. She revealed that throughout her career, Universal Music has failed to pay her a single cent in royalties outside the USA. This includes her famous hits ‘Fancy’ and ‘Black Widow.’

Azalea expressed her disbelief and anger, stating that she is currently negotiating with the label. Despite her demands for what she’s owed, Universal offered her a paltry settlement of $18,000, a tiny fraction of the extensive eight-figure amount she claims is rightfully hers.

According to Azalea, such offers are not uncommon in the industry. She believes that Universal’s legal team often proposes low settlements, only to eventually pay the proper amount when challenged in court. Azalea, fortunately secure in her finances, is determined to pursue the full payment.

She also used her platform to call out Universal Music’s treatment of artists, describing them as ‘criminals’ who exploit artists for profit. Azalea believes that many artists cannot afford to fight back, allowing the company to get away with such behavior.

In a more direct post, Azalea didn’t mince words, promising Universal Music they would pay what they owe her. Her strong words reflect her determination to hold them accountable.

Meanwhile, in related news, Tory Lanez is making headlines with his latest album. Despite his incarceration for the infamous 2020 incident involving Megan Thee Stallion, Lanez is using music as a means to connect with Azalea, dedicating tracks to her under her real name, Amethyst, and expressing a desire to reconcile.

Iggy Azalea continues her battle with Universal Music, highlighting the ongoing issues artists face with record labels. Her story sheds light on the struggles within the music industry, as she fights for what she believes she is owed.
