50 Cent is raising eyebrows again, this time by mocking the upcoming Netflix crime drama, Nemesis.

The new show, crafted by Power creator Courtney A. Kemp, aims to echo the gangster spirit of its predecessor, Power. However, 50 Cent remains unimpressed, especially since it features only one recognizable face—Shane Johnson, known for his role as Cooper Saxe in Power.

Taking to social media, 50 Cent was candid in his response, stating, “Nah this ain’t it a POWER reunion with one cast member 😁. I don’t know none of these 🥷’s. ain’t nobody jackin this shit! LOL.” His remarks reflect a clear disapproval, despite the anticipation around the show’s release.

Shane Johnson, eager to defend the new project, commented, “Yeah, but bro… we’re talking SAXE! That’s enough, man!” This exchange highlights the divided opinions surrounding Nemesis even before its debut.

According to the official show synopsis, Nemesis dives into a classic narrative of good versus evil. It follows Coltrane Wilder, an expert criminal, and Isaiah Stiles, a brilliant police detective, as they collide with explosive action and intense family dynamics. This clash promises to explore deep human motivations and their potential consequences.

Nemesis boasts a diverse cast that includes Matthew Law, Y’Ian Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, among others. The series promises thrilling heists and unexpected turns, aiming to redefine the genre with its storytelling.

50 Cent’s own ambitions for the Power universe remain strong despite this new development. He has previously teased fans with potential spin-offs and prequels that would dive deeper into beloved characters like Young Ghost and Tommy.

The rapper and executive producer, still engaged in expanding the Power saga, assured fans of more exciting content with characters they adore. Yet, it seems Nemesis might not be part of his vision for that universe.

As 50 Cent remains skeptical of Netflix’s Nemesis, audiences will soon decide if this crime drama lives up to the legacy of Power or carves out its own niche.
