During a recent concert, Trey Songz became an internet sensation when he handled a stage-rushing fan with unexpected flair.
It all happened in a blink. An enthusiastic male fan darted across the stage towards Trey Songz, affectionately known as Trigga, wrapping his arm around the star. Taken by surprise, Trey didn’t just stand there—he reacted with a swift shove, adopting a fighting stance that amused fans globally.
The R&B singer’s quick reflexes were immediately likened to action scenes from popular franchises like Mortal Kombat and Power Rangers. Fans on social media couldn’t get enough of it. One user quipped, ‘Man what type of power ranger ahh punch was that,’ while another chimed in with, ‘Lmao he got into a stance like an action figure.’ A third fan joked, ‘Boy got in a Mortal Kombat stance.’
Adding to the fun, Trey jumped into the playful banter by sharing an image on his Instagram Stories next to a Power Ranger, humorously set to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Squabble Up.’ This moment not only showcased Trey’s readiness but also his ability to engage with fans beyond his music.
However, this wasn’t Trey’s only recent battle. He recently emerged victorious in court, where he got an $11 million judgment against him dismissed. The case stemmed from allegations that a security entourage led by Trey had assaulted Tyrelle Dunn and his wife in Las Vegas back in 2021.
Dunn claimed that his wife was taken to Trey’s hotel room and prevented from leaving, allegedly assaulted and having her phone confiscated. Hearing his wife’s distress, Dunn alleged that he was attacked, resulting in injuries that caused him to miss a month of work. Although Trey did not respond to the lawsuit, the judgment was initially awarded against him.
Las Vegas Police had conducted a thorough investigation and found no wrongdoing on Trey’s part, clearing him of all charges. Upon the case’s dismissal, Dunn’s attorney stated their intent to pursue further discovery involving those security personnel allegedly involved.
This decision, even though disappointing to the plaintiffs, was accepted, as they prepare to gather more evidence and push the case forward. Meanwhile, Trey continues to entertain his fans while navigating his legal matters.
Whether on stage or in the court, Trey Songz seems to know how to handle the challenges thrown his way.
