Rick Ross Faces Allegations of Owing $65K in Taxes

Rick Ross, the famous rapper, is reportedly facing financial troubles with the Georgia Department of Revenue on his tail. He allegedly owes close to $65,000 in back taxes.

  • The state of Georgia claims the amount is from a tax bill dating back to 2021.
  • The amount includes not just the original tax, but interest and collection fees too.
  • Rick Ross owns several luxury properties, including a mansion in Georgia and a home in Miami.
  • He’s also been eyeing more properties, such as a house in Atlanta once posted by Cardi B.

Rick Ross finds himself in the spotlight not for his music, but for a tax bill that Georgia’s tax officials claim he hasn’t paid. Allegedly, he owes them $64,995.21 from a 2021 tax bill.

This total amount consists of the original amount, which was $29,043, and the rest is made up of interest, collection fees, and some other fees that stacked up since then.

Despite this financial hiccup, Rick Ross owns a sprawling 109-room mansion in Fayetteville, Georgia. It once belonged to boxing legend Evander Holyfield. Ross’s real estate portfolio doesn’t stop there. He also holds a luxurious home on Miami’s exclusive Star Island, bought for a big $35 million in 2023.

Amidst dealing with this tax situation, Rick Ross hasn’t slowed down his interest in real estate. Just last month, he showed interest in a property in Atlanta, formerly owned by Cardi B. When Cardi shared on X that she was over the massive mansion, Rick Ross quickly jumped in to ask about the asking price.

Cardi B has made it clear she doesn’t fancy living in Atlanta, the city of her split hubby, Offset. She even mentioned, “I only go to Atlanta like three or four times a year… I hated it.” Meanwhile, Rick Ross made headlines before when he snagged Meek Mill’s Atlanta pad for over $4 million in cash just last year.

Rick Ross’s financial and real estate moves continue to draw attention, both from fans and tax collectors.
