The singer was recently vacationing with Bri, a backup dancer, and they appeared quite the happy couple. They were seen kissing and working out together, making it clear they’re comfortable in the public eye.
Despite the online uproar, Ne-Yo remains unfazed by the comments aimed at his choice to have multiple partners. Using his Instagram Stories as a platform, he shared a message that read: ‘Them: Ne-Yo we don’t approve of your poly relationship!’ In response, his T-shirt boldly stated: ‘Fun fact: I don’t care.’
These comments come after his divorce from Crystal Renay, with whom Ne-Yo shares three children. Post-divorce, he has embraced a polygamous lifestyle, asserting that monogamy isn’t for him.
On the Lemon Drop podcast last year, Ne-Yo confessed, ‘I realized that I had not been living my truth for a very, very long time. I’m living it now, and you can tell: my skin is glowing. I’m in a great space — mentally, emotionally and everything else.’
Ne-Yo shared that trying to fit into societal norms was not his path. He stated, ‘I spent so much time lying and trying to be somebody that I wasn’t for the sake of somebody else… Complete and utter time wasted.’
He acknowledges that marriage and monogamy work for some, but they are not his preference. Ne-Yo emphasized his newfound freedom, indicating he’s now living authentically and won’t revert to past behaviors.
The singer also mentioned he’s open to dating more women, leaving the door open for what he calls his ‘reality now.’
