DDG is in hot water as he accuses a producer of blackmail over his hit song, “Pink Dreads.”
DDG and Plaqueboymax seemed to have it all with their track “Pink Dreads.” It was racking up views on YouTube and had the potential to go viral. But then, out of nowhere, the song disappeared from the platform.
At first, fans were left scratching their heads, unsure of why the song was suddenly unavailable. DDG, however, soon broke his silence, sharing the surprising story behind the song’s removal with his followers on Instagram. He revealed that one of the producers, along with their manager, had yanked the song with an audacious demand for more cash.
According to DDG, the producer was originally paid $30. Yet, after seeing the song’s success, they wanted a whopping $300K to return it. “The n**ga said $300K,” he told his audience, explaining how they used the song’s popularity as leverage.
DDG didn’t take kindly to these tactics. Publicly disowning the track, he declared, “Song is dead, I’m over it,” vowing to ensure that both the producer and the manager face consequences in their careers. DDG’s passion for music has been obvious to his fans, especially since he announced his intention to step back from his successful YouTube career to focus on music in July 2023.
“I don’t really care about the money,” DDG shared candidly with his fans, illustrating his commitment to his art. With this resolve, DDG remains unfazed by the setback, already looking ahead to his next musical project.
While “Pink Dreads” might be a thing of the past, DDG’s determination to move forward in his music career remains strong.
