50 Cent, the iconic rapper and businessman, is venturing into Shreveport with an ambitious plan to set up a modern sports and entertainment venue.
This expansion marks another impressive addition to 50 Cent’s ever-growing business endeavors. Known for his diverse interests, he’s already leasing a significant film and TV studio in Shreveport. Now, he’s planning to transform the Stageworks building into a top-tier venue.
During a city council meeting on March 25, he got the green light for a lease that spans 30 years, with the option to extend it for another 15 years. What’s remarkable is his arrangement to pay just $200 monthly for rent, a testament to his business acumen. He’ll cover all maintenance and operational costs himself.
The venue is set to host a variety of events. There will be basketball, volleyball, boxing, and MMA competitions. Music lovers can look forward to concerts, and car enthusiasts can enjoy exciting car shows. It will also be a hotspot for conventions and many more activities.
In his speech at the meeting, 50 Cent expressed his affection for the people of Shreveport, stating, “I’ve come to like the people of Shreveport in a different way. It feels like home for me.”
He has big plans and promises to “over deliver with Shreveport,” citing past successful events like Humor & Harmony as potential indicators of what’s to come. His excitement to build new programs and actively use the facilities is palpable.
Highlighting the buzz around this venture, 50 Cent took to Instagram, sharing the news with his followers. “All Roads Lead to Shreveport!” he posted, showcasing his enthusiasm and readiness to make Shreveport a central hub for entertainment.
50 Cent’s plans in Shreveport underline his strategic vision and commitment to broadening his business horizon. This project promises to bring a fresh wave of energy and activity to the city.
