In a dramatic turn of events, rapper 50 Cent has thrown his weight behind Diddy, suggesting he could escape his looming legal troubles if he hires A$AP Rocky’s renowned lawyer, Joe Tacopina.

50 Cent has voiced his opinion on Instagram, stating confidently that Diddy could win his sex trafficking trial, but only with Joe Tacopina’s legal prowess on his side. However, 50 Cent also hinted at the hefty price Diddy would need to pay for such representation, emphasizing the urgency by noting, “there’s no time to prepare!”

This support comes as somewhat of a surprise given 50 Cent’s long-standing rivalry with Diddy. Tacopina, a high-profile lawyer known for defending big names like Donald Trump and Alex Rodriguez, has confirmed receiving multiple invites from Diddy’s camp to join his defense team.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Tacopina remained non-committal, stating, “I’m going to speak to him. I’m not saying yes or no. I’m just going to listen.” Despite the interest, Tacopina initially expressed disinterest in representing Diddy, citing his close ties with JAY-Z and Roc Nation.

Tacopina explained his decision, saying, “I represent Roc Nation; a lot of people in Roc I’m very close with. Jay and [Roc Nation president] Desiree Perez…that’s sort of family to me and I don’t think they see eye-to-eye with P. Diddy.” He dismissed the notion that JAY-Z and Diddy shared a close bond, adding that while everyone wanted a picture with Diddy, it didn’t imply genuine friendship.

The lawyer’s reputation skyrocketed when he successfully defended A$AP Rocky in his shooting trial. Following the verdict, a jubilant A$AP Rocky and his partner Rihanna humorously vowed to name their next child after Tacopina, calling him “A$AP Joe.”

With no official agreement in place yet, Diddy faces a critical decision that could shape the outcome of his trial. Meanwhile, Tacopina’s connections and past successes keep the entertainment world buzzing about what moves Diddy will make next.
