Recent news reports indicate that the prominent musical artist known as Lil B, also recognized as the Based God and a former member of The Pack, has extended his support to Justin Bieber during the latter’s ongoing mental health issues.

On June 16, Bieber candidly expressed his emotional struggles to his followers via an Instagram post, stating, “I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues. I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who revealed to me I needed to be fixed like them.” Lil B promptly responded to Bieber’s public plea, offering compassionate support through a series of text messages made public by Bieber. One such message read, “Trust I got your back out there. Keep living. And feeling this life.” Bieber welcomed Lil B’s support, even sharing a clip from Lil B’s music video for “B.O.R. (Birth of Rap).”

As a celebrity since childhood, Bieber has been confronting significant personal challenges in recent months. His heartfelt Instagram post garnered thousands of responses, predominantly expressing empathy and support. Industry experts interpreted Bieber’s words as, “People keep telling me to heal. Don’t you think if I could have fixed myself I would have already? I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues. I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who revealed to me I needed to be fixed like them. And it just keeps making me more tired and angry. The harder I try to grow the more focused on myself I am. Jesus is the only person who keeps me wanting to make my life about others. Because honestly I’m exhausted with thinking about myself lately. Aren’t you?”

In recent times, Bieber has been notably transparent about his ongoing mental health struggles, revealing a prolonged struggle with depression, anxiety, and feelings of unworthiness that have been a constant throughout his career. Propelled to global fame at a young age, Bieber has experienced immense pressure and a distorted sense of self, leading to periods of heavy drug use, reckless behavior, and deep emotional distress. Despite his success in the music industry, Bieber has confessed feelings of being a “fraud” and “unworthy,” expressing overwhelm at the expectations and continuous scrutiny associated with fame. His transparency about his personal struggles, including times when he felt “broken” and drained by demands for healing, has elicited widespread concern and support from fans and colleagues, including Lil B.
