It seems Kanye West is back at it again with another fiery social media tirade. This time, his targets include some big names in the rap world like Kendrick Lamar and Playboi Carti.
Kanye West recently vented his frustrations online, directing his anger at fellow rappers Kendrick Lamar and Playboi Carti. The catalyst for this outburst appears to be Carti’s request involving West’s daughter, North West. Playboi Carti tagged Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s ex-wife, on Instagram, suggesting North send him a song. This apparently did not sit well with Kanye.
Expressing his displeasure on Twitter, Kanye declared, “I DECIDED NORTH WON’T BE DOING ANY SONGS WITH CARTI.” The rapper made it clear he wasn’t happy about being excluded from Carti’s new album and then seeing Carti reach out to his daughter for a song. “HOW IT LOOK FOR ME TO GET LEFT OFF THE ALBUM AND THEN HE ASK KIM TO HAVE VOCALS FROM MY DAUGHTER,” he wrote, voicing his discontent with the music industry.
Kanye didn’t stop there. He turned his attention to Kendrick Lamar, criticizing him over a collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin. West even invited Kendrick to diss him in a rap battle. It’s not the first time Kanye has criticized other artists, and this time, it seems like he tried to provoke a response from Kendrick.
Kanye also took shots at some of his frequent collaborators, including Pusha T and Ty Dolla $ign, accusing them of letting “the Jews control them.” His derogatory remarks didn’t end there. Kanye lashed out at Tyler, The Creator, challenging his musical accomplishments by claiming he’s never made a memorable song.
Adding fuel to the fire, Kanye reached out to Playboi Carti’s ex, Iggy Azalea, sarcastically asking if their son could collaborate with him as well. His rant continued with pictures of himself alongside Virgil Abloh and other artists, lamenting how they turned their backs on him.
Not limiting his ire to Carti and Lamar, Kanye also criticized Future and Metro Boomin for not including him on their remix project after he’d mentioned Lucien Grange. So far, none of the artists involved have responded to Kanye’s incendiary posts, leaving the world to watch and wait for any return fire.
Kanye’s recent social media outburst against fellow artists has once again put him under the spotlight. As the dust settles, the question remains whether this will lead to a response from those he targeted. Meanwhile, fans and onlookers are left to ponder the next chapter in this ongoing saga.
