Ice-T’s Heated Exchange with Cop During Traffic Stop

Ice-T was caught in a tense stand-off with the law over a traffic violation.

  • The rapper was pulled over for driving without a front license plate.
  • Things got heated when it emerged Ice-T also lacked a valid driver’s license.
  • The exchange escalated, resulting in some colorful language from both parties.
  • Ice-T received several tickets but managed to drive away afterward.

Ice-T found himself in a heated confrontation with a police officer after being pulled over for a missing front license plate. The incident was captured on newly-surfaced bodycam footage from last May.

Initially calm, Ice-T’s demeanor shifted when the cop discovered his lack of a valid driver’s license. Despite his attempts to explain a DMV issue from the day before, the situation quickly escalated.

The officer asked Ice-T to leave his vehicle and hand over his keys, prompting the rapper to unleash a barrage of colorful language. “Give me my paperwork, you fucking asshole! Give me my fucking paperwork. Get this on camera […] You are a fucking asshole.”

The cop responded by warning Ice-T not to touch him, asserting that the rapper was the one behaving like an “asshole.” Ice-T then began filming the officer on his phone, stating, “Let me start recording your dumb ass.”

The officer called for backup, and the tense exchange concluded with Ice-T receiving multiple tickets for the violations, though he was allowed to leave with his Porsche.

Despite this recent incident, Ice-T is no stranger to trouble with traffic laws. He was previously arrested in 2010 for a similar issue in New York, which was later attributed to a clerical error by the DMV. Ice-T has always maintained his innocence in these situations, famously stating, “I never broke the law… I never had knowledge of any suspension.”

Further commenting on the events, Ice-T shared on social media, “Street credibility has nothing to do with going to jail, it has everything to do with staying out.”

Ice-T’s colorful encounter with the police left him with several tickets, but he drove away undeterred.
