TufAmerica Inc. is suing Jay-Z over the samples he used for his 2009 hit single “Run This Town” which also features Kanye West and Rihanna. The record label is alleging that “Run This Town” uses an uncleared sample of Eddie Bo’s 1969 song “Hook & Sling.”

In the copyright infringement suit filed this week, TufAmerica is demanding “proceeds from ‘Run This Town’ and damages to be determined at trial, plus a court order to halt ‘further distribution and exploitation’ of the Eddie Bo song,” according to Daily News.

Check out the two songs – “Run This Town” and “Hook & Sling” below.
