The New York Broadcasters Association has announced its 2013 Inductees into the New York Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame, including Hot 97 veteran DJ, Funkmaster Flex.

The announcement names Funkmaster Flex as hip-hop’s “most prominent trendsetter” and lists his accomplishments over the year, including his high-profile Hot 97 position where he broke numerous artists over the years, DJing at legendary New York club the Tunnel and television shows.

The Hot 97 OG released a 55-track mixtape – Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? – earlier this year with features ranging from classic New Yorkers – Fabolous, The LOX, Busta Rhymes – to the younger acts – Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Joey Bada$$ and more.
