Artist Background: Born James L. Tyler in Gary, Indiana. Dough the Freshkid was raised in South Central Los Angeles, Ca. Entrepreneur Dough the Freshkid (DTFK) has had a passion for music since a very young age.
Deciding not to go after a Recording Label that would sign him, James created his own independent music label known as Every Penny Counts (EPC). In 2009 James began building EPC Music Group from the ground up. The same year he began to build his empire, he would PUSH his way on the scene with his mixtape Million Dollar Dreams.
In 2012 Freshkidfollowed up with his second mixtape No More Dreams, which has more than 50k downloads on the official DatPiff Website.DTFK has also released four unofficial mixtapes which have not hit mainstream circuits.
Presently, DTFK is in the studio working on his first official album No More Dreams 2, set to be released Winter 2015. DTFK is clearly focused on power moves where he continues to market and promote his brand The Push Family.
