Solartrap

Artist Background: Ok so I’m OctoberQat pronounced October-CAT. I’m gonna be the next best thing since Lauryn I’m telling you. I’m a native New Yorker, from the Bronx born to two cool ass individuals.

My parents were into all kinds of shit, I feel like they were constantly searching for new ways of living. I remember going to Rastafarian bonfires with my mom that lasted two days. She would give me incense sticks to run around with just to keep me occupied while they chanted and discussed love, and unity.

I like to think of what I used to be in my past life and I’m positive I used to be a cat, in ancient Egypt or something and I was definitely royalty, and that’s partially where my name comes from.

When I was 15 I got a tattoo on my stomach that says “free spirit” and it was like a promise to myself that I would remain the free being I was fortunate enough to be. Not everyone is enlightened or “woke” like me you know? And I feel blessed that I am at 20 years old.
