Artist Background: My name is SujfatS and people ask me “What’s that?” I took my name which I thought was plain, took the letters then rearrange, and thats how SujfatS became. So I rap then I smoke and then I smoke rap, I’m a perfect artist for people who seek, original music and a flow that be unique.

When I am in the studio I sit and take a seat, then I make my own beat and then without writing I spit with so much heat, haters take your seat cause you know you can’t compete, yeah I want beef, cause people gotta eat. 1) Talk to me about the making of your latest project. What was the inspiration behind it?

The inspiration behind it was to show younger generations what true original music is all about. People go to clinics to seek relief, I released “The Clinic” to relieve the people of the box hip hop is stuck in.

2) With the music industry tanking and record sales falling, how do you currently make money as an independent hip-hop artist?

Currently I have to do side hustles that have nothing to do with music. So far it has been less profit and more investment.

3) From a business point of view, which artists in the game do you think are really pushing the boundaries and changing it up?

Childish Gambino. I feel as though an artist who can transition from self produced hip hop albums to self produced gospel albums and make both a successful endeavor is truly impressive.

4) What business lessons have you learnt from the music industry so far?

Invest in yourself, cause if you are not willing to invest in yourself then neither will anyone else.

5) What do you love about hip-hop music?

The over all vibe of hip hop but also the freedom to express yourself.

6) What still surprises you about hip-hop?

The constant evolution and progression that takes place throughout the years. The beats can go from a old school 80s hip hop vibe to a new age electronic sound and still connect all of hip hop culture.

7) If you had the power to change one thing about the hip-hop industry to help independent artists – what would it be?

A better way of exposure without so much risk of being scammed.

8) Who do you think are top 3 rappers doing it at the moment?

I am number 1 just without the exposure the others get. Number 2 is Kendrick Lamar, besides his original delivery and style, teaming up with Dr. Dre and Eminem was a smart move. Number 3 is

J Cole, cause he strategically released his album the same day I released mine.

9) So what are your plans for the future?

For my music to be recognized globally and to be arguably the best original rapper of all time.
