Project Background: This project holds a lot of sentimental value for me. I wrote the majority of these tracks when I was sill living in the Bay Area. I had also been going through a lot of ups and downs. One, in particular, my father passing away.
He was where I got quite a bit of my musical inspiration from. And then, on the other side of things, I became a father myself. Which is truly one of life’s treasures and a huge blessing. I had a lot of things going through my head, but I also knew that God always has a plan.
So, I picked up my pen and pad and I started writing my story. “HiGH HOPES,” is the title I chose to go with because I think that we all have high hopes when it comes to the times we’re living in.
